How to Start Trading on BitPerp in 5 Steps
A simple step-by-step guide to start trading crypto perpetual futures on BitPerp: sign up, verify, deposit, place your first trade, and manage risk.
Getting started on BitPerp takes only a few minutes. This guide walks through each step so you know exactly what to expect before you place your first trade.
Step 1 — Create your account
Head to bitperp.com and sign up with your email. You'll set a password and confirm your email address. BitPerp is available on the web, as a mobile web app, and as a Windows desktop app.
Step 2 — Verify your identity (KYC)
To keep the platform secure and compliant, you'll complete a short identity verification (KYC). This usually means submitting a government ID and a quick photo. Verification protects your account and unlocks deposits, trading and withdrawals.
Tip: use clear, well-lit photos of your document. Blurry or cropped images are the most common reason verification takes longer.
Step 3 — Deposit funds
Once verified, deposit crypto into your account. Choose the coin and network, copy your deposit address (or scan the QR code), and send your funds. Deposits are subject to standard blockchain network fees — choosing a lower-cost network can save you money.
Step 4 — Place your first trade
Open the Trade screen and pick a market — BitPerp lists 500+ perpetual pairs. Then:
- Choose Long (price up) or Short (price down).
- Select your order type — a market order fills instantly (taker), a limit order waits at your price (maker, lower fee).
- Set your leverage. Start low: 2x-5x is plenty while you learn.
- Enter your size and confirm. Your position and its liquidation price appear immediately.
Step 5 — Manage your risk
Placing the trade is the easy part; managing it is what matters. Before you enter, know your liquidation price and decide where you'll exit if you're wrong. A few habits that help:
- Use modest leverage. It keeps your liquidation price far from the entry.
- Never risk more than you can afford to lose on a single trade.
- Watch funding timestamps if you plan to hold for hours or days.
You're ready
That's the whole journey: sign up, verify, deposit, trade, and manage risk. Take the first few trades slowly, keep your size small, and let good habits — not big leverage — build your results over time.
