Copy Trading Terms & Rules

Version 2026-08-01 · These terms govern following a lead trader and acting as a lead trader on BitPerp.
Copy trading carries a high risk of loss. You can lose some or all of your funds. Nothing here is investment advice. A reliability score and past performance do not predict future results. Only copy with money you can afford to lose.

Part A — Follow Rules (for copiers)

By starting a copy, you authorize BitPerp to automatically mirror a lead trader's trades onto your account under the settings you choose. You agree to the following:

1. How copying works

  1. Every trade the lead opens or closes is copied automatically. You cannot pre-approve individual trades — copying is all-or-nothing while active.
  2. You choose the copy size (percentage of the lead's size), the leverage mode (same as the lead or a fixed value), a maximum-drawdown auto-stop, and an optional pair filter. You are fully responsible for these settings.
  3. Your results will differ from the lead's due to price slippage, execution latency, exchange minimum order sizes, quantity rounding, your available margin, and per-order safety caps. A trade may be partially copied, delayed, or skipped.

2. Margin, liquidation and account risk

  1. Copied positions use your margin. If your balance is insufficient, an order may fail or be skipped — this is expected behavior, not a platform fault.
  2. Your positions can be liquidated. All liquidation, funding, and market risk is yours.
  3. We strongly recommend a dedicated account for copy trading. If you also trade manually on the same account, your personal and copied positions share margin, and your account-level auto-stop reacts to both.

3. Manual intervention

  1. You may close a copied position yourself at any time. Doing so can desync your account from the lead; the engine reconciles by never closing more than you actually hold, but you accept the risk of a mismatch.
  2. Stopping a copy halts new trades only. Open positions are not auto-closed on stop — you are responsible for closing them.

4. Fees and profit share

  1. Trading commissions, funding fees, and slippage are yours.
  2. A lead may charge a profit share of up to 50% of your positive net profit over a settlement period. It is calculated only on positive net profit; a losing period carries no charge. The applicable percentage is shown before you copy.
  3. Any settlement or payout of profit share is reviewed before it occurs; funds are never moved automatically without review.

5. No guarantee & suspension

  1. BitPerp does not guarantee any profit and is not liable for trading losses arising from copying.
  2. BitPerp may pause, suspend, or stop copying at any time for risk, maintenance, or compliance reasons, including a platform-wide kill-switch.
  3. You confirm you are of legal age, eligible to trade derivatives in your jurisdiction, and not a restricted person.

Part B — Lead Trader Agreement (for leads)

By becoming a lead trader (including setting a profit share), you agree to the following:

  1. Every trade on your rated account is copied to your followers. There is no separation between "signal" and "personal" trades — use a dedicated account for leading.
  2. You will not manipulate your track record, including wash trading, martingale / doubling into losers, or carrying large hidden floating losses. Such patterns lower your reliability score and may disqualify you.
  3. You set your profit share (0–50%). You are not guaranteed any income from it.
  4. You remain solely responsible for your own trading decisions. BitPerp does not direct your trades and does not guarantee you followers or profit.
  5. Your followers' losses are not your personal liability, but misconduct, manipulation, or abuse may lead to removal of your rating and lead status.
  6. Your rating can be revoked at any time. Maintaining rated status requires an ongoing track record and passing risk review.

Part C — General

  1. These terms may be updated. Material changes will be reflected in a new version, and you may be asked to accept the updated terms before continuing to copy or lead.
  2. These terms supplement, and do not replace, BitPerp's general Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Risk Disclosure.
  3. This document is an operational summary and is not legal or investment advice.
